Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mercury’s reconciliation platform, including work supporting its bank charter.
- Partner with engineers to understand financial data flows, schemas, transformations, dependencies, and failure modes.
- Collaborate with Product, Accounting, Finance, and Reconciliation Operations on priorities and deliverables.
- Scale the reconciliation platform, simplify integrations, and provide unified systems and tooling to teams across the company.
- Build tools for identifying discrepancies, understanding causes, resolving issues, and reporting accurately.
- Balance immediate operational needs with long-term platform leverage.
- Develop expertise in money movement and accounting systems to make product and technical tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience with technical platforms, infrastructure, data products, or similarly complex systems.
- Strong systems thinking and preference for reusable primitives and durable platform solutions.
- Track record of independently driving ambiguous work from problem definition through delivery.
- Exceptional cross-functional partnership and prioritization skills.
- Ability to drive near-term execution while developing a long-term platform strategy.
- Commitment to correctness, reliability, and trustworthy internal systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with platform products involving audits, financial controls, or regulatory requirements.
- Experience with payments, ledgers, accounting, financial operations, or data infrastructure.
- Experience building internal platforms serving many downstream teams.
- Prior reconciliation experience is not required.
Compensation
- US employees: $200,700–$250,900 USD base salary.
- Canadian employees: $189,700–$237,100 CAD base salary.
- Total rewards include base salary, equity, and benefits.
