Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of Android products:
- Design and implement detection signals for the Fingerprint Android PRO SDK, while improving performance, stability, and reliability.
- Maintain and advance the Fingerprint Android OSS SDK and Showcase App.
- Build features and implement UI screens from Figma designs using Jetpack Compose for the Fingerprint Device Intelligence Demo App.
- Provide technical expertise and insights to product and analytics teams, including assessing Android market data using internal tools and the data warehouse.
- Research and prototype methodologies that improve fraud prevention capabilities, efficiency, and technical differentiation.
- Conduct post-deployment analysis on collected data and collaborate on server-side logic and detection-system improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with backend engineers, product managers, and security researchers to deliver features end to end.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience in a senior-level capacity.
- Strong foundation in information security, with experience as an Android engineer in a security-focused organization or on a security-centric product.
- Experience building native Android applications and SDKs from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of Android internals and system behavior.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with C++.
- Data-savvy mindset and comfort working with product and data teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a remote-first, asynchronous environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with obfuscation techniques or low-level Android security concepts.
- Open-source contributions.
- Interest in backend development, including writing backend detection logic.
- Engagement in the information security community through conference speaking, writing, or active participation.
