Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android-based point-of-sale software.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and backend engineering to define, build, and deliver features.
- Ensure software quality and reliability through automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and recommend effective solutions.
- Contribute to subsystem-level design focused on scalability, security, and performance.
- Track industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product and technical decisions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional Android application development experience.
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Experience building high-availability, real-time systems, preferably in payments or financial technology.
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RxJava.
- Understanding of secure payment protocols, PCI compliance, and payment-processing workflows.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary: $160,000–$200,000.
