Territory Account Executive
Own full-cycle field sales for Square across Birmingham, generating pipeline, conducting live demos, closing deals, and building local partnerships. The role requires 3+ years of field closing experience, strong business development skills, and Salesforce proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Spend approximately 80% of the week in the field, walking the territory, engaging local businesses, and conducting 50–60 targeted visits per week.
- Own the full-cycle, self-sourced sales process: generate leads, identify needs, deliver product demonstrations, and close deals across Square’s software and hardware portfolio.
- Build trusted relationships with local sellers and serve as the local Square expert.
- Partner cross-functionally to support seamless onboarding and rapid time-to-value.
- Establish referral strategies and develop partnerships that generate qualified opportunities.
- Build pipeline through door-to-door outreach, community engagement, events, networking, and targeted partnerships.
- Develop expertise in restaurants, retail, and services, diagnose business challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain Salesforce activity, pipeline, and forecasting data accurately.
- Consistently achieve and exceed sales quota.
Requirements
- 3+ years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role, including field sales.
- Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets, selling diverse product ecosystems, and closing complex deals.
- Ability to independently manage deals in a fast-paced environment.
- Business development experience, including prospecting and cold calling.
- Reliable transportation and residence in the served market.
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Salesforce experience or equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- 2+ years of experience in payment processing or related technology, such as payroll, loyalty, or time management.
- 1+ year of experience working in or selling to restaurants, retailers, or service businesses.
