Revenue Accountant
Own revenue recognition, billing operations, AR, and the revenue close for subscription and usage-based business models. The role requires 4–7+ years of revenue accounting experience, deep ASC 606 and US GAAP expertise, and familiarity with billing, ERP, reconciliation, and automation workflows.

Responsibilities
- Own revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscription, committed-use, and usage-based/consumption contracts.
- Run monthly and quarterly revenue close, including deferred revenue, unbilled and accrued revenue, and contract asset/liability schedules.
- Review customer contracts to determine performance obligations, standalone selling price allocations, and revenue treatment.
- Own billing operations in Orb, including invoicing, credits, commit drawdowns, and usage true-ups.
- Manage accounts receivable, cash application, and collections.
- Own AR reconciliations and aging analysis, and drive collections.
- Perform month-end flux and variance analysis for revenue and AR balances.
- Build AR and collections metrics, including DSO and aging, for management reporting.
- Develop and document revenue policies, internal controls, and repeatable close procedures.
- Support audit and diligence requests related to revenue and drive audit readiness.
- Coordinate sales tax and VAT treatment.
- Apply AI and automation across contract review, revenue recognition, reconciliations, and reporting.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience.
- Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition and ASC 606.
- Experience with subscription and usage-based/consumption billing models.
- Hands-on experience with billing and ERP systems such as Orb, Stripe, and NetSuite.
- Strong reconciliation skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to own processes end-to-end.
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, lean environment.
- Experience applying LLMs and AI automation to finance and accounting workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- CPA.
- Big Four audit or assurance background.
- In-house experience at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics and bookings-to-revenue reconciliation.
- International or indirect tax exposure, including sales tax and VAT.
Work Arrangement
- In-office position five days per week.
