Leads and grows an engineering team building AI-powered developer tools, owning technical direction, execution, and operational quality. Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers building AI-powered developer tools, including hiring, ramp-up, and career development.
- Own the technical direction and partner with staff-level engineers on architecture decisions.
- Improve developer cycle time while raising correctness and trust in AI-assisted development.
- Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap for an early-stage product and translate ambiguous problems into shippable scope.
- Establish the team’s execution rhythm across planning, delivery, quality, and operational ownership.
Requirements
- Experience actively shipping code with AI agents in production.
- Ability to thrive in early-stage environments with shifting roadmaps and ambiguous problems.
- Strong perspective on AI coding tools, their current limitations, and ways to improve them.
- Strong technical depth in full-stack development, including TypeScript, React, and systems-level work.
- Experience building developer-facing products or tooling where speed, reliability, and developer experience were critical.
