Responsibilities
- Design and develop features across the full stack, including React-based frontend applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
- Own features end-to-end, from browser to database, delivering intuitive and reliable user experiences.
- Collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to understand user needs and make sound technical decisions.
- Mentor and guide engineers through code review, pairing, and technical leadership.
- Introduce effective technologies and approaches, including thoughtful use of AI in software development.
- Identify improvement opportunities, drive technical debt reduction, and deliver enhancements through completion.
- Engage with customers and communicate product rationale and user pain points.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Substantial professional software development experience: 6+ years for Staff or 10+ years for Principal.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Expertise in one or more JVM languages, such as Java, Kotlin, or Scala.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Expertise building large frontend applications with React or TypeScript.
- Ability to work effectively across frontend and backend codebases.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to guide and mentor engineers.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Commitment to testing, continuous integration, clean solutions, and continuous delivery.
