Staff Software Engineer, Fullstack
Builds and operates end-to-end data activation features across UI, backend, authentication, billing, and data models. The role requires broad full-stack experience across interpreted and compiled languages, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and distributed team leadership.

Responsibilities
- Contribute across the full technology stack, including Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, Vue, and AWS.
- Prototype ideas and fill gaps in product and design specifications.
- Collaborate with product teams, leaders, and customers to design and develop data activation features.
- Mentor early-career engineers, conduct constructive code reviews, advise on best practices, and provide project-level leadership.
- Lead major projects, including research spikes, design documents, implementation planning, and rollout.
- Build, deploy, and maintain code end to end.
- Work across distributed teams, departments, and time zones.
Requirements
- Expertise in at least one interpreted language, such as Python or Ruby on Rails.
- Hands-on experience with at least one compiled language, such as C++, Kotlin, Scala, Go, or Java.
- Strong understanding of relational databases; data warehousing experience, such as Snowflake, is a bonus.
- Experience with system integration, including API consumption and development.
- Familiarity with a leading cloud provider, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Experience participating in on-call rotations.
- Experience with data, backend systems, APIs, and UI components.
- Customer-focused approach to product and developer experiences.
- Ability to collaborate synchronously and asynchronously with a distributed North American team.
- Ability to work in the Toronto office two days per week.

- Ontario pay range: $167,548–$209,435 CAD.
