Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, QA, Support, and Information Development teams.
- Prioritize documentation across concurrent initiatives to meet release dates.
- Create end-to-end feature documentation for multiple engineering teams, including API references, SDK/CLI/Terraform guides, and admin/product configuration guides.
- Build product expertise through hands-on engagement to ensure documentation accuracy and alignment with customer workflows.
- Learn and apply Information Development guidelines, processes, and tools.
- Identify process improvements, including the use of generative AI to increase productivity.
- Analyze customer feedback to improve content depth, quality, and relevance.
- Independently lead documentation efforts for product launches.
- Prioritize and negotiate documentation scope and timelines with stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience writing documentation for cloud or enterprise products.
- Experience with Oxygen XML Author, VS Code, Acrolinx, Git/GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with DITA, Markdown, OpenAPI, and API publishing platforms.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools for improving documentation quality and workflow productivity.
- Security or identity and access management domain knowledge, such as Okta or similar IDaaS products.
- Strong technical fluency to read code and API specifications and validate content firsthand.
- Experience writing developer documentation, including SDK, CLI, or API reference guides.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience collaborating across different time zones and working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Bachelor's, diploma, or master's degree in Technical Communications, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with localization and translation best practices.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid work mode, with a minimum of two days onsite per week.
- In-person meeting and onboarding travel to the Bengaluru office are required.
