Senior Director of Growth Strategy

Leads growth-channel strategy and operations, setting targets, building roadmaps, and creating scalable systems to drive measurable acquisition. Requires 6+ years spanning strategy and startup experience, strong analytics, hands-on execution, and cross-functional leadership.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Set goals, define success metrics, establish ambitious targets, and measure progress.
  • Define the growth strategy roadmap by diagnosing opportunities and constraints, prioritizing investments, and identifying work to deprioritize.
  • Translate the roadmap into executable initiatives with clear priorities, owners, success metrics, and resource requirements.
  • Build the operating system needed to scale growth, including processes, tools, and decision-making cadences.
  • Help cross-functional teams identify performance gaps, turn insights into action, and remain accountable for results.
  • Build, develop, and potentially manage a high-performing Growth Strategy team.
  • Partner with executive leadership, sales, enablement, analytics, product, and engineering.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience combining strategy work—such as management consulting, finance, or business operations—with direct startup experience.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems using first-principles thinking and identify underlying performance drivers.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort using imperfect data to identify gaps, make tradeoffs, and measure strategy effectiveness.
  • Exceptional operating ability, from setting direction through detailed execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and maintain attention to important details in a fast-moving environment.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership, including creating clarity, establishing accountability, and driving decisions without direct authority.
  • NYC-based and available to work in person at least 3 days per week, with some remote flexibility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience and enthusiasm for building and leading a team.
