Responsibilities
- Define and drive the design vision for Inbox and Notifications across in-product, mobile, email, and other surfaces.
- Design systems for high volumes of tasks, alerts, approvals, and updates, accounting for prioritization, permissions, deadlines, and diverse user needs.
- Establish principles, interaction patterns, quality standards, and governance for consistent notifications.
- Lead end-to-end design for Sandbox, enabling IT administrators to configure, test, validate, and learn safely without affecting production environments.
- Develop deep customer workflow understanding through research, data, customer conversations, and partnership with customer-facing teams.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to frame ambiguous problems, make high-velocity decisions, and ship high-quality work.
- Use AI throughout the design process, including research synthesis, requirements development, prototyping, and intelligent product exploration.
Requirements
- 8+ years of end-to-end product design experience shipping complex, high-impact products from concept through launch and iteration.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking and the ability to simplify ambiguous problem spaces into intuitive workflows.
- Experience designing complex SaaS, enterprise, platform, productivity, or workflow products across multiple personas, permissions, states, and dependencies.
- Strong systems thinking, including connecting functionality into coherent end-to-end journeys and balancing platform consistency with product-specific needs.
- Excellent interaction and visual design craft, including polished work across edge cases and build-ready specifications.
- Strong customer focus, grounded in studying real behavior, identifying pain points, and using evidence to guide decisions.
- Active use of LLMs such as Claude or ChatGPT in the design workflow.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, including async writing and persuasive presentations.
