IT Product Manager - Billing and Revenue Systems

Own the strategy, architecture, and delivery of billing, revenue recognition, and order-to-revenue systems, serving as the Zuora Billing and Revenue expert. The role requires 5–8 years of experience, strong SaaS finance and revenue recognition knowledge, technical integration skills, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of billing, revenue recognition, and order-to-revenue systems.
  • Translate Finance, Sales, and Operations objectives and financial KPIs into system requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue (RevPro), including data models, custom objects, workflows, rule sets, and integrations.
  • Partner with Finance, Revenue Accounting, Revenue Operations, Engineering, and technical architecture teams on scalable, compliant solutions.
  • Identify and implement AI, machine learning, and automation opportunities for billing and revenue operations.
  • Lead agile delivery, backlog prioritization, sprint ceremonies, UAT, testing, deployments, change management, and user adoption.
  • Maintain SOX controls, support audits, manage risks, and oversee vendor relationships.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in IT product management, systems analysis, or similar roles focused on financial or billing systems in a SaaS or subscription business.
  • Deep hands-on experience configuring and implementing Zuora Billing and Zuora Revenue (RevPro).
  • Expertise in subscription products, rate plans, discount schedules, billing rules, revenue recognition rules, performance obligations, and custom objects.
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS subscription financial models, ARR, MRR, NRR, churn, gross retention, ASC 606, IFRS 15, contract modifications, variable consideration, standalone selling prices, and deferred or unbilled revenue accounting.
  • Comprehensive order-to-revenue lifecycle knowledge, including quote-to-order, order-to-cash, invoicing, payment processing, and revenue accounting.
  • Experience applying AI and automation to operational workflows and using generative AI for productivity, documentation, or analysis.
  • Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, ZOQL queries, and API-based system integration.
  • Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
