Responsibilities
- Build the next generation of internal AI coding tools and platforms to accelerate Stripe’s engineering productivity safely, with a clear focus on user needs.
- Build tools or platforms used by other engineers or internal users.
- Work collaboratively across team workstreams and contribute to peers’ success.
- Articulate and represent customer experience to drive the right outcomes.
- Operate with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills and the ability to write high-quality code at high velocity.
- 2–5 years of professional, hands-on software development experience.
- Ability to write well-factored algorithms and experience with commonly used data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience building tools or platforms used by other engineers or internal users.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Customer obsession and the ability to articulate and represent customer experience.
- Experience using AI developer tooling in day-to-day workflows.
Nice to Have
- Deep curiosity and strong opinions about the use of AI in software engineering.
- Direct experience building coding or other software development tools.
- Ability to use large datasets to identify user insights and inform product development.
- Experience designing excellent product experiences, with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in developer tooling.
