Founding Forward Deployed Product Manager
Founding Forward Deployed Product Manager leading on-site health system engagements, scoping workflows, owning outcomes end-to-end, and feeding learnings back into core product. Requires 7+ years PM experience and strong cross-functional credibility with clinical and technical leaders.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Run discovery on-site at partner accounts. Meet with executive sponsors, clinicians, and integration teams to scope engagements and define success before any code is written.
- Lead a small pod through focused, sprint-style engagements, protecting pod focus and pace.
- Own the product and feature answer for the engagement, partnering with Partner Success on the broader commercial relationship.
- Decide what gets built, what gets declined, and what gets routed to the core roadmap. Hold the line on bespoke requests that don't generalize back to the core product.
- Partner with internal product and engineering teams when an engagement surfaces a net-new product build that belongs on a different track.
Requirements
- 7+ years of product management experience shipping products that users love, with a track record of owning product areas end-to-end.
- Builder mentality: personally driven products from discovery through launch and iteration. Care about craft and quality in what you ship.
- Strong user empathy and product taste. Instinctively know the difference between a product that works and one that delights.
- Comfort with ambiguity: take a messy problem space and create a clear roadmap without waiting for perfect information.
- Cross-functional credibility: go deep with engineers on technical tradeoffs, partner with design on interaction details, and operate as the senior product voice in front of CMOs, CMIOs, CIOs, and CFOs.
- Track record of running time-bound, outcome-oriented engagements where the deliverable was a live system, not a document.
- Willingness to travel ~20% on average, with surge periods around engagement kickoff and go-live.
Nice-to-Haves
- Healthcare or clinical workflow experience, or familiarity with Epic or other EHR platforms.
- Prior experience in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing product role at an enterprise AI company.
