Supply Chain Planning Intern
Supports material requirements, inventory visibility, shortage tracking, and planning improvements for prototype, pilot, and production hardware builds. Responsibilities
- Maintain planning trackers for demand, builds, bills of material, purchase orders, inventory, and delivery schedules.
- Translate prototype, pilot, and production plans into material requirements and shortage reports.
- Reconcile part numbers, quantities, lead times, substitutes, and supplier commitments with engineering and procurement.
- Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy, ageing analysis, and material allocation across builds.
- Build simple dashboards for shortages, on-time delivery, inventory coverage, and plan changes.
- Follow up on open actions and prepare updates for daily and weekly operating reviews.
- Document and improve planning, procurement, and material-control processes.
- Support supplier research and data cleanup.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, industrial engineering, analytics, commerce, or a related field.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with structured data.
- High attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and follow-through.
- Clear written and verbal communication and ability to work across teams.
- Curiosity about hardware, manufacturing, robotics, and real-world operations.
- Availability for a full-time, in-office internship in Bengaluru.
Nice-to-haves
- Academic or project exposure to material requirements planning, inventory, procurement, production planning, or logistics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, dashboards, SQL, or basic automation.
- Experience in a student engineering team, hardware startup, factory, or operations internship.
