Senior Solutions Engineer advising UK&I customers on Auth0 identity solutions, leading technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and deal progression. Requires pre-sales experience, strong software development skills, identity protocols knowledge, and customer-facing communication.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive discovery to understand customer and prospect requirements in the context of desired business outcomes.
- Partner closely with sales teams to progress opportunities from discovery through technical win and successful conclusion.
- Create sales presentations, deliver product demonstrations, and educate audiences ranging from developers and product managers to C-level executives.
- Validate solutions hands-on by building custom demonstrations and supporting customer-led proofs of concept.
- Maintain broad and deep technical knowledge of the Auth0 product line, identity technologies, and relevant protocols.
- Participate proactively in local and regional sales and marketing events.
- Advise customers on solutions using the Auth0 Identity Platform.
Requirements
- Experience in a pre-sales role as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts, including in whiteboard settings.
- Experience with at least one identity protocol, such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, or LDAP.
- Strong development background with proficiency in at least one backend stack and a popular frontend stack.
- Experience with REST APIs and SDKs.
- Understanding of application security concerns including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, listening, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel and meet customers.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with identity and access management, single sign-on, and API-based solutions.
- Understanding of agentic AI and the role of identity in continuous oversight.
- Experience with iOS or Android development.
- Experience with HTTP, HTML, REST services, browser developer tools, curl, or Postman.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual on-target compensation: £119,000–£160,000 GBP.
