Senior Product Designer
Owns end-to-end product design for AI voice agent platform, collaborating with engineers and founders to create intuitive UX for complex real-time workflows. Requires 5+ years experience, strong taste, and user-centered design skills in a fast-paced startup.
About the job
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product experience end-to-end — from early concepts and PRDs to polished, shipped features used by real customers in high-stakes, real-time scenarios.
- Shape how users interact with AI voice agents, turning complex, technical workflows into clear, intuitive, and human experiences.
- Work side-by-side with engineers and founders to define, refine, and ship features, ensuring design intent and quality are preserved all the way to production.
- Be the voice of the user — conduct customer interviews, gather feedback, and translate real user pain points into thoughtful design solutions.
- Proactively raise the UX bar by identifying friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities across the product, and driving improvements from idea to launch.
- Build and evolve Retell’s design system, setting standards for consistency, scalability, and craftsmanship as the product and team grow.
- Hold a high bar for craft and quality, sweating the details and refusing to compromise on clarity, usability, or polish.
- Influence product direction through design, contributing strong opinions, clear rationale, and taste-driven decisions that shape what we build next.
Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer working on shipped products.
- Have a strong user-centered design background (HCI, design, or equivalent experience).
- Have excellent product taste and a strong sense of usability, hierarchy, and visual clarity.
- Are detail-oriented and care deeply about polish and consistency.
- Enjoy working closely with engineers, PMs, and founders to shape product direction.
- Are comfortable operating in a fast-moving startup environment with ambiguity.
- Enjoy owning problems end-to-end rather than working within a narrow design scope.
- Care deeply about building products that are easy to use and delightful.
