Principal Medtech Architect

Leads strategic customer AI engagements for a medtech platform, from executive discovery and use-case prioritization through solution delivery, validation, and adoption. Responsibilities

  • Own strategic AI build partnerships end to end, from discovery and opportunity framing through workshop facilitation, build sprint delivery, solution validation, and handoff.
  • Lead conversations positioning AcuityMD as an AI solution for MedTech and a strategic platform for executing customers’ AI roadmaps.
  • Design and facilitate executive leadership workshops to identify and prioritize high-value workflows.
  • Recommend engagement models, including in-surface enrichment, callable tools, bespoke skills, and insight-to-action workflows.
  • Define business cases, ROI assumptions, success metrics, and validation approaches with customer stakeholders.
  • Translate customer pain points, workflows, and technical requirements into scoped AI solutions and multi-workstream delivery plans.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to scope and lead Forward Deployed sprints, ensuring delivery quality and customer outcomes.
  • Validate delivered solutions and prepare them to scale across the customer organization before account-team transition.
  • Lead platform-level roadmap conversations with customers’ AI leadership teams, including CTOs and CIOs.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Professional Services, Sales, Value Engineering, Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Data teams.
  • Shape AcuityMD’s external product-market narrative on AI in medtech through customer conversations, field insights, and thought leadership.
  • Mentor early-career Medtech Architects and improve the Forward Deployed playbook.

Requirements

  • Executive presence and credibility with C-suite stakeholders, including CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, and CCOs.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial, clinical, and operational realities of medical technology organizations.
  • Fluency in AI, solution architecture, roadmaps, architecture discussions, solution patterns, risks, and tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated success scoping, selling, and delivering complex, multi-quarter, multi-workstream enterprise engagements.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into executable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgment in evaluating use cases, engagement models, scope, value, and delivery considerations.
  • Exceptional communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Cross-functional leadership across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Data teams.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience across medtech, healthcare technology, enterprise SaaS, AI services, or adjacent fields; direct medtech experience is strongly preferred.
  • Record of leading strategic customer engagements and delivering complex technical solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Experience delivering AI products, AI-enabled services, or custom AI solutions for customers.
  • Eligible work permit in the USA.

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA, MS, or clinical degree.
  • Prior Forward Deployed experience at a peer AI, data, or enterprise software platform company.
  • Published thought leadership at the intersection of medtech and AI.
