Responsibilities
- Partner with banks and financial services organizations on strategic opportunities, advising executives, chief data officers, chief risk officers, and enterprise data architects.
- Translate core banking use cases and business challenges into data-driven and AI-powered solution architectures.
- Create end-to-end architectures, future-state blueprints, persona use-case journeys, system/application architectures, workshops, playbooks, and demo showcases.
- Design solutions for fraud detection, credit risk modeling, regulatory reporting, customer 360, banking, lending, payments, treasury, risk and compliance, and finance workloads.
- Build repeatable enterprise architectures and solution assets for global adoption.
- Provide field enablement and technical thought leadership through blogs, talks, webinars, conferences, and industry marketing activities.
- Provide structured feedback to product teams to influence the product roadmap.
- Engage with financial services ecosystem partners and advise customers on interfaces, vendors, and technology choices.
- Explain complex technical concepts to technical, executive, operational, risk, business, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Travel to customer sites, industry events, and related events as required.
Requirements
- 10+ years of architecture experience building, consulting to, or implementing technology for core banking or financial services organizations.
- Deep expertise in financial services data topics and the challenges affecting the industry.
- Ability to map data requirements and processes across retail and commercial lending, payments, treasury, risk and compliance, and finance.
- Consultative customer engagement and solution architecture experience using modern data and AI technologies.
- Experience with large-scale databases or data warehouses, ETL, analytics, and public cloud technologies.
- Understanding of data science and machine learning concepts and financial services applications, including credit scoring, fraud detection, and AML/transaction monitoring.
- Familiarity with core banking platforms such as Temenos, FIS, Fiserv, and Finacle; risk and compliance systems; actuarial tools; payment networks; CRMs; and third-party data providers.
- Understanding of financial services regulatory and compliance frameworks, including Basel III/IV, DORA, IFRS 9/17, Solvency II, BCBS 239, AML/KYC, NAIC, and state DOI reporting.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Experience working with senior executives and establishing credibility with senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, finance, actuarial science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Python with hands-on experience.
- 3+ years of customer-facing architecture development experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Java, Scala, or other programming languages.
- Experience integrating Snowflake or data cloud platforms into broader financial services solution ecosystems.
- Experience with financial services partners and platforms such as Verisk, LexisNexis Risk Solutions, and MSCI.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $187,200–$245,700.
