Principal Enterprise Technology Architect
Own the enterprise architecture for Crusoe’s internal business systems, defining unified data models, secure API-first integrations, governance standards, and AI-enabled system patterns. The role requires 10+ years of enterprise or solutions architecture experience and deep familiarity with a major ERP/Finance or Construction/Operations platform.

Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery for major enterprise-system initiatives and produce ERDs, system context diagrams, data-flow maps, and sequence diagrams.
- Assess platform limitations and determine when to optimize, re-platform, or build custom integration layers.
- Evaluate software vendors based on API robustness, data-model flexibility, and security compliance.
- Identify integration debt and create a prioritized remediation roadmap.
- Participate in Architecture Review Board discussions and ensure system changes align with enterprise standards.
- Define unified master-data approaches across Finance, Construction, Operations, and People systems.
- Co-develop reusable integration patterns, error-handling frameworks, and self-healing workflows with platform owners.
- Advance API-first and event-driven integration patterns using REST and webhooks/pub-sub where appropriate.
- Define secure authentication and communication standards for internal systems.
- Identify opportunities for AI-enabled workflow automation, intelligent document processing, copilots, natural-language interfaces, agentic AI, RAG, LLM integrations, and orchestration frameworks including MCP.
- Partner with InfoSec and Data teams on privacy, security, audit, SOC 2, and SOX requirements.
- Advise senior system administrators on cross-system initiatives, design reviews, configuration reviews, and integration trade-offs.
- Establish standards for documentation, sandbox management, naming conventions, change control, and architectural reviews.
- Translate business needs into technical execution and communicate architectural trade-offs to nontechnical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in Enterprise Systems or Solutions Architecture, or equivalent architectural expertise.
- At least 5+ years in a Solution Architect or Lead Systems Engineer role.
- Demonstrated greenfield architecture experience, including personally produced ERDs, context diagrams, and data-flow documentation.
- Deep familiarity with at least one core platform domain: ERP/Finance, including Oracle Fusion Cloud, Coupa, or Sage Intacct; or Construction/Operations, including Procore or Oracle Primavera.
- Strong understanding of enterprise systems, data models, integrations, APIs, security, and architecture governance.
