Responsibilities
- Manage and drive end-to-end sprint processes for engineering teams as Scrum Master.
- Facilitate sprint planning, clarify requirements, prioritize tasks, drive stand-ups, monitor development progress, and coordinate cross-team collaboration.
- Organize QA testing and drive bug resolution to deliver features and improvements on time and with high quality.
- Own and analyze engineering productivity and support-efficiency metrics every sprint, driving improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate QA efforts for development and bug-fixing work to meet release schedules.
- Track and control system release scope for quarterly main releases and ad hoc hot fixes.
- Monitor development progress, manage code cherry-picks and branches, and align engineering work with release schedules.
- Drive cross-team engineering projects.
- Own and oversee system release processes, including release activities, engineering war rooms, and customer service communications.
- Anticipate and plan for risks and contingencies, documenting and communicating them to stakeholders.
- Drive incident response communications and postmortems.
- Facilitate status meetings, capture minutes, drive follow-ups, and prepare status reports for senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline, or experience working in a software environment.
- Hands-on technical systems operations experience.
- Hands-on enterprise cloud software experience.
- Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum.
- Jira administration-level experience.
- Ability to break down complex projects and requirements into trackable milestones.
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong focus on process, deadlines, and accountability.
- Resourceful, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive approach.
Nice to Have
- Background in machine learning or data science.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS and/or big data infrastructure.
- Facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and transparency skills.
