Build and operate customer-facing notebook features across backend services, container runtimes, and React-based interfaces. The role requires 7+ years of software development experience, strong full-stack and distributed-systems expertise, and a focus on secure, scalable, reliable systems.

Responsibilities
- Drive high-impact initiatives across product areas and the full technology stack, including Go and Python on the backend and TypeScript/React on the frontend.
- Own and deliver features across the notebook service, container runtimes, and user interface, designing and shipping medium-to-large projects independently from ambiguous problem statements through production and post-launch.
- Advance platform initiatives including runtime management and patching, environment reproducibility and replication, security and compliance, and notebook observability.
- Extend the product to operate reliably in regulated and air-gapped environments, where security, compliance, and operational rigor are paramount.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team and partner with product managers, designers, and platform organizations.
- Contribute to product vision and drive team planning.
- Build for scale, reliability, and high performance; participate in the on-call rotation for a Tier-1 production service.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and raise the engineering bar through design and code reviews.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, including significant full-stack development experience.
- Deep understanding of modern web application architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scale.
- Experience with backend services and distributed systems.
- Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills, with a proactive and transparent working style.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related major.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building for regulated, compliance-driven, or air-gapped environments.
- Knowledge of database internals and SQL.
