Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end data validation process with clients and internal project teams.
- Develop scalable data analytics processes for validation in Databricks.
- Write custom Python logic to detect large-scale data anomalies and automate remediation.
- Facilitate recurring client sessions to track progress and steer data validation projects through completion.
- Research and identify portfolio data performance discrepancies, and recommend solutions for manual data issues.
- Review, compare, and document differences in system calculation methodologies.
- Coordinate across project teams, communicate regular status updates, and set expectations for assigned data projects.
- Mitigate project risks by escalating key impediments to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Prioritize and context-switch effectively across simultaneous projects.
- Identify and implement AI-driven automation and LLM integrations to streamline implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or Economics.
- 2+ years of experience working in Technology, Finance, or Consulting.
- Hands-on experience with complex investment datasets, including multi-asset-class portfolios, performance data, and market data from various sources.
- Proficiency in Python, Spark, and/or SQL, with familiarity with ETL fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs.
- Experience with Databricks and/or a cloud-based distributed data platform.
- Solution-oriented approach and passion for problem solving.
- Ability to research, design, and implement solutions for complex problems.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, proactive approach, and ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including proficiency in handling client objections.
Compensation and Benefits
- Target base salary range: $103,000–$110,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
- The posted range reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York; the specific range for the preferred location may differ.
