Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of product designers across multiple product pods, including direct ownership of hiring, performance, and career growth.
- Partner with the VP of Design on design strategy, organizational design, and scaling the design function.
- Create conditions for designers to do their best work by aligning stakeholders, managing cross-functional dependencies, and driving clarity in ambiguous projects.
- Set and maintain the craft bar across interaction patterns, visual execution, design system standards, and long-term product quality.
- Define how product design operates with AI tools and for AI-driven product experiences.
- Act as a strategic design partner to senior Product and Engineering leaders, shaping cross-functional decisions and aligning teams around shared outcomes.
- Influence product strategy through insight into fundraisers and donors, turning ambiguous cross-product problems into clear direction.
- Make high-stakes design decisions balancing craft, speed, and business impact.
- Evolve design culture by establishing scalable practices, norms, and rituals.
Requirements
- 8+ years of product design experience, with 3–5 years managing other designers.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design leadership across complex, multi-surface product environments and measurable user and business impact.
- Experience developing designers at different career stages and intentionally building team culture.
- Deep craft sensibility across interaction design, visual design, and design systems.
- Experience partnering with Product and Engineering leadership to influence roadmaps and product direction.
- Strong prioritization judgment, including knowing when to go deep, delegate, and focus on high-impact work.
- Excellent communication skills, including executive storytelling and actionable feedback.
- Comfort operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments where priorities evolve and speed matters.
- Fluency in how AI is reshaping design, including designing AI-driven experiences and using AI in daily workflows.
- SaaS or B2B product experience required.

Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range: $200,000–$225,000.
