About the role

Responsibilities

  • Set the design vision and quality bar across Spending, Savings, and Investing experiences.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of product designers.
  • Apply strong visual and interaction design craft to elevate product work while empowering designers to own solutions.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to shape strategy, identify high-impact opportunities, and deliver member experiences.
  • Create connected product experiences across features and journeys while balancing immediate needs with long-term design vision.
  • Use research, customer insights, data, and experimentation to guide design decisions.
  • Champion design excellence through product language, design systems, critique culture, and broader design practice.

Requirements

  • Experience leading and developing high-performing product design teams responsible for complex, consumer-facing digital products.
  • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual and interaction design craft.
  • Track record of creating and delivering design visions across multiple products, journeys, or interconnected experiences.
  • Deep product design expertise and judgment across high-level strategy and detailed execution.
  • Experience partnering with senior Product and Engineering leaders to influence strategy and deliver customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience building design teams through coaching, feedback, critique, and talent development.
  • Ability to communicate a clear design point of view and create clarity in complex or ambiguous spaces.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $242,000–$335,000.
