Leads and develops an engineering team responsible for secure, scalable source-code integration platform services. The role combines people management, backend systems expertise, stakeholder prioritization, and hands-on technical leadership.

Responsibilities
- Lead and cultivate a team of engineers of diverse experience levels, including performance management and career development.
- Lead technical and strategic discussions to understand challenges and opportunities faced by the team and stakeholders.
- Own relationships with product teams and major stakeholders, balancing competing requests with long-term investments and prioritizing impact across the platform.
- Run a lightweight process to pace and track work, supporting progressive delivery through demos and frequent iteration.
- Stay involved with the team’s systems and write code or troubleshoot issues when needed to unblock the team.
- Support internal and external customers in resolving issues and identify systematic solutions that improve the platform and integration experience.
Requirements
- Strong collaboration, enabling, and people-first leadership skills.
- Backend engineering experience building robust systems composed of multiple services, data streams, and stores operating at scale.
- Significant experience with backend technologies such as Go, Python, Java, PostgreSQL, or Kafka.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and/or distributed systems.
- Experience operating platform services and making tradeoffs between short-term impact and long-term sustainability.
- Proven ability to work closely with product and internal teams to deliver solutions at scale.
- Leadership and direction in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Positivity and proactivity toward AI, including experience using agentic tools for development and analysis.
