Strategic Account Executive, Public Sector
Own strategic public-sector sales in Canada, driving adoption and expansion of a data and AI platform across complex government accounts. The role requires 7+ years of relevant sales experience, fluent French, Canadian government procurement expertise, and the ability to lead multi-stakeholder and partner-driven deals.

Responsibilities
- Own and exceed revenue targets by growing a strategic account in Montreal.
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies to identify, prioritize, and win high-potential public sector accounts.
- Drive expansion of Databricks usage in newly landed accounts, turning initial projects into broad data and AI platforms.
- Identify new AI and data use cases in government operations and contribute insights to public-sector go-to-market, product direction, and regional strategy.
- Use a solution-oriented, value-based sales approach that connects Databricks to measurable outcomes for public services and citizens.
- Coordinate internal teams and SI, cloud, and consulting partners to run sales motions and deliver customer outcomes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of SaaS, cloud, AI, or big data sales experience in the public sector.
- Meaningful experience with public sector accounts and driving adoption of new technologies through consultative, solutions-oriented sales.
- Fluent French.
- Ability to navigate complex public sector stakeholder ecosystems and build consensus across departments, budget owners, and decision-making layers.
- Deep understanding of Canadian public sector priorities, buying processes, cycles, decision structures, and partner ecosystems.
- Extensive experience with Canadian government procurement, including budget formulation and execution, tender/RFP processes, evaluation criteria, and compliance and security frameworks.
- Experience applying structured sales methodologies such as account planning, MEDDPICC, value selling, and Command of the Message.
- Proven ability to create customer champions and lead collaborative internal and external teams through implementation and expansion.
- Ability to build public sector partner strategies and manage SI, cloud, and consulting partners to jointly win and deliver large projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling usage-based PaaS/SaaS or data, AI, and ML solutions.
