Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in roadmapping and executing development of significant features and products
  • Uphold a high technical bar while making pragmatic tradeoffs
  • Improve the pace of execution of the team through leadership and technical expertise
  • Grow the team by identifying needs, evaluating candidates, and hiring high-impact team members
  • Up-level the team on reliability, resulting in fewer incidents and strong incident management hygiene
  • Foster growth of team members and ensure strong engagement and motivation

Technical Focus Areas

  • Data Warehouse Performance: optimizing queries, storing pre-computed state, warehouse-specific improvements
  • Analytics and Experimentation: building segments, audience experimentation, performance tracking
  • Real-time Audience Syncing: real-time audience computation and syncing using CDC and similar technologies
  • Generative AI: enhancing user workflows for acting on data

Requirements

  • Senior engineering leadership experience
  • Strong technical background with ability to serve as both technical voice and people manager
  • Experience with recruiting and growing engineering teams
  • Focus on reliability, incident management, and operational excellence
