Leads architecture and delivery for an agent-native SaaS product while managing and mentoring a team of engineers. The role requires 7+ years of software engineering experience, people leadership, production AI systems expertise, and strong full-stack technical skills.

Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and delivery of a new agent-native app-building product.
- Hire, mentor, and grow a team of 3–5 engineers.
- Establish engineering standards for testing, observability, and AI-driven development.
- Partner with Infrastructure and Engineering teams to evolve the API surface and runtime for agent capabilities while preserving platform stability.
- Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams on shared outcomes.
- Cultivate an AI-first development culture and raise velocity and quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience building and scaling large SaaS products and complex distributed systems.
- 3+ years of people-management experience leading a software development team, with hands-on technical leadership and architecture experience.
- Experience building and scaling AI systems in production, including agent orchestration, context management, retrieval pipelines, vector stores, tool invocation, and MCPs.
- Experience designing and running evaluations for agentic systems, including success criteria, task suites, and reliability measurement across multi-step tool use.
- Expertise with React, Node.js, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience deploying in multi-cloud and multi-tenant environments.
- Active use of AI tooling and a perspective on AI-driven software development.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
