Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions for complex problems; write well-designed, testable code.
- Lead project priorities, deadlines, and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and partners.
- Support business needs during US hours and represent engineering to clients and product support.
- Communicate technical ideas and set project direction focused on business challenges.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a strategic product.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, scalable, and extensible code.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9+ years of software engineering experience.
- Expert backend development proficiency, particularly in Java.
- Experience building scalable architectures on AWS or another public cloud platform.
- Expert proficiency designing and developing scalable microservice architectures.
- Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
- Strong ownership, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
- Experience with data processing and analysis using SQL, PySpark, or similar frameworks is a plus.
