Software Development Engineer III - Workflows
Owns large full-stack features from design through production, building scalable Node.js services and performant Vue.js interfaces. The role requires 4–5+ years of software development experience, architectural expertise, and the ability to mentor engineers and lead projects.

Responsibilities
Technical Mastery
- Build backend services with Node.js, including REST APIs, microservices, and scalable systems.
- Build modular, performant, and accessible frontends with Vue.js.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB and Firestore.
System Design & Architecture
- Design scalable, maintainable systems through high-level and low-level design.
- Write technical design documents and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Make informed decisions based on trade-offs and system impact.
Execution & Ownership
- Drive features and projects from planning through production.
- Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance.
- Debug production issues and perform performance tuning.
- Participate in production incident handling.
DevOps & Infrastructure
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools such as Docker.
- Use orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Work with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
- Own production readiness, including logging, monitoring, and alerting.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices through code reviews.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers.
- Contribute to sprint planning and lead technical discussions.
Testing & Quality
- Implement and advocate for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Enforce best practices for maintainable, well-tested code.
Requirements
- 4–5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with Node.js for backend development.
- Expert-level Vue.js frontend experience.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, and system design.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, containerization, and cloud environments.
- Proven leadership in mentoring and leading projects.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Exposure to domain-driven design and event-driven architecture.
- Open-source contributions or technical blog writing.
