Software Engineering Manager - Core & Resilience Engineering
Leads a distributed engineering team responsible for shared backend infrastructure, frameworks, and services supporting highly available authentication and authorization products. The role combines people management, technical guidance, resilience strategy, architecture, and operational reliability.

Responsibilities
- Manage a distributed team by setting expectations, removing blockers, fostering collaboration, hiring, coaching, and conducting career-management discussions.
- Collaborate with managers, architects, product owners, project managers, test partners, security engineers, and operations engineers on resilience best practices.
- Organize and communicate cross-team projects with high business impact.
- Define the team’s strategic direction and roadmap.
- Develop backend frameworks and tools for organization-wide use at scale.
- Participate in incident root-cause analysis to improve reliability and scale.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers.
- Evaluate, develop, and roll out new services.
- Operate, support, upgrade, and scale shared services and frameworks.
- Evaluate existing systems to support future business needs.
Requirements
- Stakeholder-management experience, including alignment, prioritization, communication, and incorporating feedback.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and manage a team through priority changes.
- Prior experience managing a distributed and diverse team.
- Software architecture experience across the full stack, including design and implementation.
- Understanding of monolithic applications and microservices.
- Cloud infrastructure experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and key-value datastores.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containers.
- Strong understanding of the Java platform.
- Experience with SaaS.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of network security, authentication, and authorization.
- Experience with Golang.
