Responsibilities
- Independently manage partner billing cycles, prepare and submit billing files
- Review remittances and payment feedback
- Investigate discrepancies and collaborate across teams to resolve billing and payment issues
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows
- Support automation and process initiatives
- Help scale billing processes as new EAP partners are onboarded
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in billing, collections, or a related role contributing to end-to-end transformation (process, technology, and people) in a high-growth operational environment
- Proven ability to independently improve and optimize processes
- Leveraging tools such as Salesforce, AMD, payer portals (e.g., Availity), and Google Suite/Microsoft Office (including Excel/Google Sheets) to drive optimization
- Experience applying structure, prioritization, and effective communication to solve problems, not just for the current state but also to predict future needs
- Experience creating concise, actionable documentation (training materials or process docs) for both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare or a startup environment
- Familiarity with diverse insurance billing types (commercial, EAP, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
- Tech savviness, natural technical aptitude, and fluency with Google Suite, Salesforce, ZenDesk, AdvancedMD/EHR, or similar platforms
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle management, with a focus on healthcare billing, payment posting, and/or credit management, including knowledge of credit management for insurance and governmental payers (Medicare or Medicaid)
