Responsibilities
- Lead one or more teams of senior and staff engineers building and maintaining billing and payments infrastructure.
- Oversee development of scalable, highly reliable financial infrastructure supporting revenue operations, millions of customers, and new product launches.
- Drive execution of complex technical initiatives and the rebuilding of the billing platform.
- Set technical direction for large, cross-company efforts and ensure resilient, scalable, future-proof architecture.
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop engineers while setting clear expectations and providing effective feedback.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, data science, operations, and support teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.
- Plan projects, form teams, manage priorities, remove blockers, and deliver predictably under tight deadlines and short release cycles.
- Build scalable, developer-friendly APIs and implement effective tools, processes, instrumentation, and methodologies.
Requirements
- Experience leading teams or multiple teams of senior and staff engineers.
- Experience driving cross-functional alignment and communicating technical direction for large initiatives.
- Experience building backend systems and frontend product components.
- Demonstrated success hiring, onboarding, and supporting the professional development of engineering teams.
- Strong planning, communication, prioritization, and execution skills.
