Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and operate Java services supporting conversion and upsell journeys through a merchandising platform.
- Design scalable backend systems, data models, and APIs on Google Cloud Platform.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within an autonomous, cross-functional agile squad.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, growth, and business stakeholders to solve complex scaling and automation challenges.
- Build and operate distributed, high-volume services in production.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a backend engineer working with Java.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and experience building complex backend services at scale.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling cloud-native software components.
- Experience gathering stakeholder requirements and developing APIs and systems to meet them.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently on complex delivery initiatives.
- Growth mindset and passion for achieving team goals.
