Senior Accountant

Own the accounting function for U.S. and Canadian entities, including close, financial reporting, multi-entity consolidations, SaaS revenue recognition, and tax coordination. Requires five years of accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge, and CPA or equivalent qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for U.S. and Canadian entities.
  • Prepare timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Manage account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, consolidations, and financial reporting.
  • Manage accounts payable, payroll accounting, expense accounting, fixed assets, and cash reconciliations.
  • Own ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription, usage-based, and enterprise contracts.
  • Coordinate U.S. and Canadian corporate tax filings, sales taxes, payroll taxes, and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Experience owning the full month-end close process.
  • Multi-entity accounting experience, including intercompany transactions and consolidations.
  • Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition, including subscriptions, usage-based revenue, deferred revenue, and contract assets.
  • Experience coordinating U.S. and Canadian tax matters with external advisors.
  • CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Startup ownership mindset and comfort working across financial systems.
