Responsibilities
- Architect and own the technical direction of AI-powered products and 0-to-1 builds, balancing long-term trade-offs and maintaining a build-ready technical backlog.
- Integrate AI models and large language models into customer-facing production systems with strong reliability and performance.
- Establish architectural approaches for building with AI across the product.
- Write high-quality code and rapidly deliver proof-of-concepts to validate architectural options and address difficult technical challenges.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to turn ambiguous business goals into well-architected initiatives with clear sequencing.
- Identify and resolve systemic technical debt, unblock engineers, raise quality standards, and improve team effectiveness.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
- Experience owning system design and architectural decisions for high-scale or high-growth products.
- Production experience integrating LLMs into systems and using AI tooling in development workflows.
- Deep Kotlin expertise and strong knowledge of backend architecture, service design, and performance at scale.
- Strong command of AWS and Kubernetes.
- Ability to make architectural decisions with incomplete information and iterate rapidly in production.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, including explaining complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $241,000–$284,000 annually.
