- Serve as a technical anchor for the Middle Office business unit and own the long-term technical health and strategic direction of the domain.
- Navigate complex, ambiguous problems and break them into actionable paths.
- Identify systemic failure patterns and drive architectural improvements for scalability and reliability.
- Align multiple teams on major technical decisions across cross-functional domains.
- Define safe, effective ways for engineers to leverage AI tools.
- Set the vision for operational excellence and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Track record of high-level technical leadership and influence without formal authority.
- Expertise building distributed systems.
- Ability to guide technical direction across Python/Django, React, Postgres, JVM languages, gRPC, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- Strong technical communication, vision, and engineering discipline.
Compensation and Benefits
- $240,000 - $300,000 minimum cash compensation range in San Francisco, CA.
