Product Manager responsible for shaping strategy and defining reliability practices for AI-native software, while leading cross-functional initiatives for developer tools, testing, monitoring, and observability. Responsibilities
- Shape company and product strategy with the SVP of Product Engineering.
- Define Checkly’s point of view on reliability for AI-native software, including AI-generated code, agent-driven workflows, and LLM-backed features.
- Decide where the company should compete in AI testing, monitoring, and observability.
- Lead initiatives across Product Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Represent the company directly to customers and developer communities.
- Develop empathy for and solve problems faced by DevOps, SRE, and Platform Engineering teams.
- Use AI tools in product work, while applying judgment about when not to use them.
Requirements
- Prior experience building and shipping software as an engineer, founder, or solutions engineer.
- Ability to reason about APIs, MCPs, CLIs, and system integrations.
- Experience working in a startup environment with ambiguity, small teams, and end-to-end ownership.
- Experience building technical products; developer-tools experience is preferred.
- Sufficient technical proficiency to prototype in code, build mockups, and assess technical feasibility.
- Ability to work fully remotely within UTC-3 to UTC+3 time zones.
- Ability to travel to European countries without waiting for a visa appointment.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with monitoring or observability.
- Experience in product management, including transition from a founding or solutions-engineering role.
- Experience with AI tooling, AI testing, or AI-native software reliability.
Compensation and Benefits
- €83,000–€120,000 annually for markets with costs similar to the United Kingdom and Germany, plus stock options.
- €75,000–€105,000 annually for markets with costs similar to Spain, Poland, and Ukraine, plus stock options.
