Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to own the technical sales strategy from prospecting through closed-won.
- Lead customer discovery to uncover technical challenges, business goals, and success criteria.
- Translate customer needs into tailored Datadog solutions.
- Deliver product demos, technical presentations, and workshops focused on customer outcomes.
- Project-manage technical evaluations end to end, including use-case scoping, requirements, success criteria, timelines, and accountability.
- Identify and cultivate technical champions within customer accounts.
- Participate in product and engineering feedback sessions as the technical voice of the customer.
- Maintain accurate records of activity, deal progress, and customer interactions in related systems.
- Collaborate with Product, Support, and go-to-market teams to address customer needs and resolve technical blockers.
- Travel as needed to support customer engagements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments and adapt communication for technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, APM and tracing, security, developer experience, and observability.
- Strong communication and consultative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset and willingness to use AI tools.

- Estimated yearly salary: $149,000–$198,000 USD.
- Compensation may also include variable compensation and equity.
