Your day to day is…
- Lead FP&A business partnership across R&D and Operations, supporting budgets, forecasts, hiring plans, and investment decisions
- Partner closely with functional leaders to understand business drivers, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide resource allocation and prioritization decisions
- Own the planning and forecasting rhythm for supported functions, including timelines, assumptions, stakeholder inputs, and deliverables
- Lead, coach, and develop team members, setting clear priorities and raising the bar on analytical quality, stakeholder partnership, and execution
- Monitor performance against forecasts and targets, proactively identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions where needed, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
- Translate complex financial and operational questions into clear analyses, insights, and recommendations for Finance and non-Finance audiences
- Support strategic planning processes, helping partners evaluate investments, prioritize initiatives, and align decisions with company goals
- Improve planning processes, team workflows, and reporting approaches to increase consistency, efficiency, and decision usefulness
- Translating departmental and Finance priorities into clear team plans; managing competing demands by setting expectations, monitoring progress, and addressing risks early.
- Leading ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and leadership priorities, directing the work of individual contributors and ensuring quality and rigor.
You’ll be successful in this role if you have…
- 8+ years of total experience in a financial analytical role such as strategic finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or accounting
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or a comparable finance role in a fast-paced environment
- 3+ years managing people, including responsibility for developing individual contributors, setting expectations, and owning outcomes delivered through a team.
- Strong business partnership experience with senior functional leaders, ideally in R&D or Operations
- Expertise in financial modeling and reporting with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strategic mindset with strong problem solving and consistent delivery.
- Experience with FP&A systems and tools such as Planful or similar platforms is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels of the organization
- Relevant industry exposure in technology, healthcare, and/or consumer marketplaces is a plus.
