Senior Software Engineer, AeroParker
Build and evolve backend services, distributed systems, microservices, and partner integrations for a high-volume parking and e-commerce platform. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend services powering the AeroParker pre-book parking and e-commerce platform.
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from ideation and technical specification through deployment.
- Moderate technical discussions, evaluate new techniques, and evolve the e-commerce architecture.
- Apply automation testing, TDD/BDD, and CI/CD best practices to enable rapid iteration and feature launches.
- Foster a culture of treating production bugs as opportunities to improve the platform.
- Maintain highly available, secure distributed systems capable of handling high-volume consumer traffic across global airports.
- Work with global partners to build solutions and API integrations connecting their products with the AeroParker platform.
- Leverage AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes.
Requirements
- MS or BS in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience with strong computer science fundamentals.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including advanced knowledge of Scala, Java, or related languages.
- Track record of designing and delivering large-scale distributed systems and microservices for high-volume, consumer-facing applications.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and modern software design paradigms.
- Deep understanding of Agile engineering processes, including CI/CD pipelines and automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Hands-on experience with database technologies, especially MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical architecture to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Snowflake, AWS, Git, GitHub, GitHub Copilot, and Datadog.
Nice-to-haves
- Hands-on experience with container technologies and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, data analysis tools, or complex third-party API integrations.
- Interest in emerging AI technologies for improving productivity or customer experience.
- Experience in innovative, fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environments.
