AI Education Lead

Lead AI education at Basis to keep an AI-native team at the frontier. Design programs, workshops, and in-flow learning so every employee masters the latest models and agents, driving adoption of zero-human workflows in accounting and beyond. Must live at the AI frontier with deep hands-on experience.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Make every person at Basis maximally effective at using AI, keeping an already AI-native organization at the cutting edge as models and tools change weekly.
  • Live at the frontier of AI: test new models immediately upon release, build workflows with them, run multiple agents, and form views on real capabilities vs. demos.
  • Design and deliver company-wide programs, role-specific playbooks, hands-on workshops, one-on-one coaching, and in-the-flow skills/agents that teach people.
  • Make complex AI concepts intuitive for both engineers and non-engineers, explaining subtle distinctions across models, tools, and workflows.
  • Own adoption and behavioral change: ensure people work differently, agents take on more valuable work, and gains compound across the company.
  • Translate frontier techniques into secure, reliable, repeatable systems suitable for a growing company handling sensitive data.
  • Identify capability gaps, design interventions, create pull across teams, and measure impact on how people actually work.
  • Exercise organizational judgment on balancing individual power-user setups with company-wide trust, speed, and curiosity.

Requirements

  • Live at the frontier of AI with firsthand practice building agents and workflows.
  • Ability to make complex concepts intuitive without oversimplifying and explain subtle distinctions to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational judgment for scaling techniques company-wide while preserving value.
  • Highly self-directed with ability to identify gaps, design interventions, drive adoption, and measure behavioral change.
  • In person in Flatiron, NYC 5 days a week.
  • Excited about working with coding agents (unlimited token budget for engineers).
  • Excited about applying agents to real economy problems.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience designing education systems or programs in fast-moving technical environments.
  • Background in building or scaling AI/agent workflows in production settings.
