Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in the team's domain and technology stack, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contributing to technical decision-making.
- Proactively address technical debt alongside feature development through refactoring and system improvements.
- Own complex features and projects from concept through delivery.
- Lead code reviews, set quality standards, and provide feedback to improve code quality.
- Partner with Product and stakeholders to refine requirements and ensure well-architected solutions aligned with business goals.
- Deliver reliable, maintainable software and implement performance optimizations and resilience mechanisms.
- Monitor and maintain production services, diagnosing and resolving critical issues.
- Participate in the architecture and design of distributed systems for reliability and scalability.
- Improve development processes, tooling, and automation.
- Ensure consistency and quality in shared components and APIs.
- Contribute to the team's knowledge base and lead learning sessions.
- Use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot extensively in daily development.
- Own the delivery pipeline, including code quality, testing standards, and deployment practices.
- Participate in on-call duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in .NET/C# and the ability to design and implement complex algorithms and architectures.
- Experience managing and improving CI/CD processes using tools such as GitHub Actions, TeamCity, and Octopus Deploy.
- Expertise in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, with an emphasis on automation.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud platforms and services, including AWS, MongoDB Atlas, and Kubernetes/EKS.
- Technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
