Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software engineers ranging from new graduates to senior engineers, focusing on career development, inclusivity, and high impact.
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing architecture decisions, RFCs, and pull requests, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Partner with product teams to evaluate use cases, support smooth implementation, and prioritize platform capabilities.
- Share on-call responsibilities and promote operational excellence.
- Scale a petabyte-scale database toward exabyte-scale capacity.
Requirements
- Previous experience leading software engineering teams and delivering high-quality software products.
- Experience with on-call work, incident response, postmortems, and remediation efforts.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including experience with career development and performance management.
- Background in distributed systems.
- Preferably hands-on experience with Java or Go.
