Responsibilities
- Lead quality initiatives and establish standards across UI, API, performance, and scalability testing.
- Design, build, and maintain robust UI and API test automation frameworks.
- Conduct code reviews and guide engineers on scalable automation patterns and the quality impact of code changes.
- Drive shift-left testing by embedding quality practices in design and development.
- Partner with product and engineering teams on performance, scalability, and infrastructure-level quality.
- Provide quality expertise for microfrontend architectures and databases.
- Mentor and develop QA/SDET team members.
- Promote innovative, efficient testing approaches that accelerate delivery and reduce defect leakage.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, DevOps, and stakeholders across the product lifecycle.
- Lead root-cause analysis for production issues and address defect leakage gaps.
- Develop tools that improve QA organization productivity.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in software testing and automation, including 3+ years in a lead or senior role.
- Experience building and scaling UI and API automation frameworks.
- Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
- Understanding of performance, scalability, and infrastructure testing.
- Hands-on experience with microfrontend architectures and databases such as MongoDB and Firebase.
- Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring team members.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing integration.
- Experience managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for large-scale applications.
- Ability to influence product architecture and design with a quality-first mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Customer-first approach to product reliability and user experience.
