Software Engineer, IAM
Build secure, scalable identity and access management platforms, APIs, and internal tooling using JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and distributed-systems expertise. The role requires 5+ years of backend or distributed-systems experience and familiarity with authentication protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Build and optimize authentication and authorization standards and protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, and SAML.
- Develop secure, reliable, and scalable IAM platform components.
- Research role engineering and session management, and implement standardized formats for cross-functional authentication and authorization needs.
- Develop APIs and products with Product, Design, Support, Quality, Security, and Platform Engineering teams.
- Architect solutions and facilitate cross-team knowledge sharing on best practices.
- Design and build internal tooling to support product development and maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building complex backend or distributed systems at scale.
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and web fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of database fundamentals, including query optimization, schema design, indexing, and caching.
- Demonstrated experience building products from scratch.
- Product-oriented mindset and user empathy.
Nice-to-haves
- Understanding of identity and access management products, protocols, and methods, including OAuth, SAML, and OIDC.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: $150,000–$190,000.
