Responsibilities
- Build, analyze, and scale systems that protect users from harmful content, fraud, and abusive behavior.
- Translate safety policies into automated logic, machine learning features, and scalable backend workflows.
- Collaborate with trust and safety specialists, data, engineering, and product teams to turn policy into detection and enforcement.
- Identify trends across cases and abuse patterns, feeding insights back into policy, tooling, and detection.
- Escalate complex or high-severity cases to trust and safety experts, Legal, and Engineering with concise summaries.
- Help build AI-assisted moderation tooling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in trust and safety, platform integrity, or a related role combining data analysis and engineering at a consumer technology company.
- Strong technical foundation, including writing code, querying data, and building backend workflows at scale.
- Ability to translate safety policies into automated logic, machine learning features, and scalable systems.
- Sound judgment under ambiguity when investigating abuse patterns and making decisions quickly.
- Comfort working with sensitive content and a steady temperament.
- Operational rigor, including documenting decisions, identifying patterns, and turning individual cases into policy and tooling improvements.
- Strong written English and clear, empathetic communication with users and internal teams.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the Digital Services Act (DSA).
- Familiarity with NCMEC reporting.
- Experience handling law enforcement requests.
