What You'll Do
- Mentor and Scale the Team: Hands-on technical leader reviewing PRs, pairing with junior engineers, recruiting Senior and Staff engineers.
- Drive Alignment & Velocity: Provide business context, align technical efforts with product roadmap, clear organizational roadblocks.
- Co-Design the Clinical Product: Partner with Operations, Product, and Clinical leadership to translate medical realities into technical roadmaps.
- Elevate the Craft & Govern AI: Manage AI risks (e.g., Codex 5.3, Claude Opus 4.6), ensure auditing for edge cases, performance, HIPAA compliance.
- Foster a High-Ownership Culture: Share context, provide feedback, mentorship, performance management.
Who You Are
- Pragmatic team builder and mentor with track record recruiting top talent and coaching early-career developers.
- Former Senior/Staff engineer with experience building high-stakes distributed systems.
- 2+ years formal engineering management; deep product sense, user experience, clinical workflows focus.
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, fintech, logistics).
- Manages through context and autonomy; collaborative with non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation: Base salary $280,000-$350,000 plus equity and benefits.
