Leads and remains hands-on in building AI-powered revenue systems that improve seller efficiency, while hiring and developing a team of GTM Engineers. Requires 8+ years building revenue systems, 3+ years managing technical teams, and strong programming experience.

Responsibilities
- Build and lead the seller-efficiency GTM Engineering team, remaining hands-on with high-leverage technical problems.
- Own sales workflow systems including book carving, ROE automation, signal detection, and pipeline intelligence.
- Extend Clay into new GTM use cases, dogfood product features, and share field insights with the product team.
- Partner with sales leadership to identify workflow breakdowns, define technical roadmaps, and prioritize high-impact work.
- Establish intake, prioritization, code-quality, documentation, observability, and system-governance practices.
- Hire, manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 GTM Engineers.
- Design scalable tooling and connect systems through APIs, webhooks, and automations.
- Measure adoption, performance, and business impact, then iterate based on feedback.
- Advise on the future of AI-native GTM and build a high-performing, supportive team.
Requirements
- 8+ years building revenue systems through RevOps, GTM Engineering, sales systems engineering, or similar applied technical work.
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, SQL, or TypeScript, with the ability to review pull requests, debug production issues, and contribute code.
- Experience deploying AI-powered internal tools, automations, or agentic workflows at scale.
- Understanding of data warehouses, BI tools, ETL/reverse ETL systems, and event-driven architectures.
- 3+ years managing technical teams in hypergrowth environments.
- Proven ability to hire and develop technical talent, establish operational excellence, and drive accountability.
- Strong prioritization, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear technical direction and operate effectively in fluid environments.
Nice to Have
- Experience using Clay as a primary workflow or enrichment layer.
- Background in analytics engineering, data science, or full-stack software engineering.
- Experience scaling a GTM Engineering function from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 5+ people.
